About House of Samaria

The House of Samaria is dedicated to assisting formerly incarcerated individuals, Veterans, women fleeing domestic violence, and homeless individuals reintegrate into the community. We aim to provide individuals with the necessary resources and support to successfully transition back into society. While in the program, everyone will have access to transitional housing, behavioral health services, supported employment,  counseling and mentoring, support groups and workshops, as well as rental assistance and more. We believe that everyone deserves a second chance and we are committed to helping these individuals rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient, productive members of society.

Our Story

The Samaria Community House of Refuge (SCHOR) was established in December 2022 (the vision was 5 years in the making) by founder/CEO Keith Williams. Our mission is to provide individuals with the necessary tools and resources needed to establish independence and self-sufficiency in becoming productive citizens in their transitioning journey and becoming productive and successful members in the community.

To better serve our clients, (SCHOR) partners with other Community Organizations such as Bridge Center at Adams House, Mettle Works Behavioral Health, Supported Employment as well as other faith based organizations.

 

As a part of our program, residents will have access to transitional housing, Behavioral Health Services (In connection with Mettle Works Behavioral Health), Supported Employment, Case Management (In connection with The Bridge Center at Adams House), Anger Management, One-one-counseling, Community Building workshops, Domestic Abuse Intervention workshops (National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence N.C.D.S.V), Substance Abuse referral services. 

 

We are all here for a reason, season and purpose. The reason this program was initiated was to help an underserved population, the season is now, and the purpose is to provide the necessary guidance and service so that everyone can have a second chance. Our organization is founded on the values of love, unity, peace, forgiveness in helping others.
